Jazz trombonist John Moak has performed with many notable jazz
artists including: Ella Fitzgerald, Doc Severinsen, Jack Sheldon, Dave Brubeck, Nat Adderly, Randy Brecker, Diane Schurr,
Branford Marsalis, Slide Hampton, Clark Terry, Louie Bellson, Pete Christlieb, Herbie Mann, Rosemary Clooney, and James Moody.
John has performed as a member of the Louie Bellson Big Band and Octet, the Clark Terry Quintet, the orchestras
of Ray Anthony, Jimmy Dorsey, Les and Larry Elgart, and the Hal Linden Show.
John currently performs throughout Florida and worldwide as a jazz artist and clinician as well as backing up many popular
acts including Aretha Franklin, Johnny Mathis, Michael Amanti, Deana Martin, Toni Tennille, Franki Vali, Della Reese, Glen
Campbell, Bebe Neuwirth, Robert Goulet, Shirley Jones, and Bob Newhart.
John has been a winner of the International Trombone Association's Frank Rosolino and Kai Winding Jazz Competitions, the Southern
Comfort National Dixieland Championship and a finalist in the Cognac-Hennessey Jazz Search.
John plays a 1952 vintage King 2B Liberty trombone with a Bach Mt. Vernon 11C mouthpiece.
